of my LCSW. I am a retired Navy veteran and part of the
LBGTQ community. I am here to empower and challenge
you to be the best you that you can be. The military has taught
me to deal with anxiety, depression grief and isolation
and My goal is to empower you to improve your
mental health so you can function at your best. I utilize a
holistic person-centered or strength-based approach to
provide quality compassionate, culturally sensitive, and
evidence-based mental health care. I have a specialization
in grief therapy, but I am also experienced in depression,
anxiety, personality disorders, addiction, relapse, and
issues that affect the LBGTQ community.

from South University in 2020. With over 18 years professionally, Shannon has assisted
many individuals to gain insight into their lives, reactions and decision-making
that may be having a negative impact on their lives and relationships.
The focus of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the cornerstone of her treatment
approach to empower clients to improve their lives through an understanding of
individual control, overthinking, reactions, and behaviors.
Shannon believes that a CBT approach in therapy offers change while
highlighting client’s strength and diversity. Her knowledge, skills,
and life experiences offer an open accepting atmosphere that creates results.

grief/loss issues, domestic violence/abuse, life transitions and growth,
anxiety/panic disorders, depression, Bi-Polar disorder, social skills and a
wide array of other deficits. Shannon has a solid background in mental health
assessments and diagnosis. With 18 years in a behavioral health setting,

stabilize symptoms and will develop a recovery plan for you.
